Solaize, France – April 24, 2019 – SEPARATIVE, a French start-up developing disruptive purification tools for the pharmaceutical industry, today announced that Agilent Technologies, a multi-billion dollar global life sciences company, has participated in the initial funding of its Seed Round of financing.
“While our Seed Round remains open, this initial funding enables us to expand our team and accelerate the development of our state-of-the-art separation column technology,” said Francois Parmentier, CEO. “We are particularly pleased that Agilent has joined our existing high-quality investors and feel their presence is a testament to the growing need for a new approach to industrial process purification methods as well as SEPARATIVE’s unique ability to potentially meet these needs in both industrial and life-science markets.”
SEPARATIVE was founded to develop disruptive purification tools for the pharmaceutical industry, enabling the discovery of new drugs at lower cost. The high performance, multicapillary separation technology being developed at SEPARATIVE will increase pharmaceutical separation efficiency while reducing expense and toxic waste. To further accelerate toward the goal of manufacturing process industrialization and commercialization in the drug discovery laboratories market, the start-up’s Seed Round remains open to qualified investors.
“We feel that the arrival of a global partner, like Agilent, testifies to the growing importance of the industrial markets that SEPARATIVE is addressing and is an acknowledgment of the relevance of its innovation to improve separation’s efficiency,” said Cyril Burkovic, CMO. “It will allow our startup to increase the pace of our development and strengthen its positioning on the worldwide market.”
